Traditional Cider At The Merchants Inn

With a HUGE range of real ciders and perries, there is always something new to try. This is the real stuff no bubbles, no ice and no fancy foiled topped bottles

Background information about some of our favourite cider suppliers

Hecks was established in 1896 and their cider is made by blending juice from apples grown in local orchards. The cider is still fermented in wooden barrels. The company has won many awards for their cider, Camra's National Champion Cider and Perry Competition's, Royal Bath and West Show, Devon County Agricultural Association and many other local produce events.

Broadoak Cider has been making cider and perry of all sorts for over 25 years and is now one of the country's biggest independents. Draught, kegged and bottled, these have won several awards

Thatchers has been making their award winning cider for over 100 years. Their apples are in tip top condition and picked at the right moment with the perfect ripeness to ensure the cider quality
